LGB: What made you start to train and get in shape back in 2012?
ALANA: I didn’t like the way I looked and did not like the way I looked in the mirror and had no confidence because of this.

(Alana in 2011 – 75kg)

LGB: Halfway through 2012 your training intensity changed. Your efforts  at Boot Camp were insane and you were never short of giving it 100%. What do you put this change down too? Was it that you started to see some change in your body.
ALANA: When I started seeing results in the change I was making and people saying oh you have lost weight , also setting myself goals and reaching them.Alana before & After1

LGB: What was it about training that makes you love it so much?
ALANA: I loved that the harder I trained and the more effort I put in the more results I was getting, I love getting stronger, I love feeling the burn in a workout and knowing im so buggered after a workout is great because I know ive pushed myself to the limits.

LGB: You have always been a positive and motivaing towards everyone but more so LGB Boot Campers. How does it make you feel when your own peers and boot camp look up to you for inspiration?

ALANA: It feels great knowing that people I look up to at bootcamp now look up and see me as inspiration.

LGB: You received LGB Fitness client of the month in 2012. How did winning this award make you feeld? knowing how far you have come

ALANA: It felt amazing knowing I had come so far and reached my goal and to have gotten this from my trainer knowing that he was proud is an amazing feeling to have.

LGB: When did you first decide you wanted to compete on stage as a figure model.

ALANA: When I started to get some muscle tone in my back and arms so about September last year .

LGB: You have received massive support from everyone around. How important has this support been for you and your journey to perform on stage

ALANA: It has been so important. If I didn’t have the support I have  I wouldn’t have been able to do it without all of these people in my life.

LGB: Whats the hardest you have found while preparing for your competition?

ALANA: Nothing about it is easy. But the hardest is the mind, to keep telling myself mind over matter. If your mind isn’t in it then you cant do the rest of the prep.

LGB: In regards to the preparation to compete, did you think there so much involved when you first decided you wanted to compete.

ALANA: When I first decided I wanted to compete I thought it would be hard but No I didn’t think it was going to be so hard and there is so much
involved even little things that people don’t realize make so much of a difference when prepping for comp.

LGB: You are now less just a week out from your comp, how are you feeling leading into it. Give us a personal insight on how everything is going.

ALANA: I am actually fully of mixed emotion, I am mostly excited knowing Its not far away and that I’ve come so far, but its also really hard in trusting in the process when I haven’t
competed yet and not knowing the transformation that can happen with my body In just the last week. My mind is all over the place. Im just trying to enjoy the process and keep my mind positive and foucused as I can  as the last week comes up to my prep.

LGB: If you dont know already you have a big number of friends and fans making the trip to see you compete. What do you think about that?

ALANA: It makes me a bit nervous actually but It feels great to know I have so many people behind me and coming to support me on the big day.

LGB: We hope you smash it Alana in your competition and hope to be chatting to you like this after your competition and hopefully holding a trophy

ALANA: Hopefully holding a trophy, if not ill still be happy because I would have given it my best.

Part 2 of this interview will be posted after Alana’s competition on the 23rd of March. In part 2 we will hear about everything leading up to comp. The last week, depletion, on day prep, on stage and the feeling afterwards. Stay tuned.

  1. Unquestionably believe that which you said. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the web the easiest thing to
be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider worries that
they plainly do not know about. You managed to
hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect ,
people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get
    more. Thanks

  2. I am truly happy to glance at this weblog posts which consists of lots of useful data, thanks for providing these information.
